We know it can feel cringe but there’s some proper good reasons to let your mate know you appreciate them.

Research shows that receiving a compliment enhances the good stuff in relationships and increases general happiness. Not bad for something that’s free and literally takes seconds.

It might be awkward at first, but it could also make all the difference. And, by letting go of that awkwardness, we could all enjoy better relationships with our friends, family and colleagues.

Why? Because talking helps. It doesn’t always have to be deep and meaningful. Just letting someone know you value them for being them could mean more than you think.
