Part of the Edinburgh Marathon Festival, the fast and flat course follows the same route as the full marathon and is ideal for first time half marathon runners or those looking for a new PB. This increasingly popular route takes in some of Edinburgh’s most iconic landmarks and is a great alternative for those not wanting to take on the full marathon.

Event accessibility
A carer, guide or support runner is eligible for a free entry. To do this, support runners should create a MyRunning account with the Edinburgh Half Marathon to apply for a place, and contact the event organisers before the payment stage in order to receive free entry.
Wheelchairs and handbike users are welcome. Anyone taking part in a wheelchair or handbike must be self-propelled for the entire race.
